Registered Dietitian Disclosure

Central Washington University makes every effort to determine whether or not programs resulting in professional licensure or certification are recognized outside of Washington State.

Students are also encouraged to be proactive, as certification and licensure requirements vary by state and over time, and licensing board and contact information are provided on the primary licensure disclosure webpage.

The table below collects programs identified by CWU as leading to or endorsing dietitian registration which may be considered for out-of-state recognition:

Program Identification

  • Food Science and Nutrition BS, Dietetics Specialization(Until 2024)
  • Food Science and Nutrition BS, Food and Nutrition Specialization (Until 2024)
  • Nutrition, MS

Effective January 1, 2024, the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) will require a minimum of a master’s degree to be eligible to take the credentialing exam to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). In addition, CDR requires that individuals complete coursework and supervised practice in program(s) accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
