Aircraft Fleet

When embarking on your journey in aviation, the type and quality of the aircraft fleet at your disposal for training is a crucial aspect to consider. Some programs may offer training in both single-engine and multi-engine planes, and even in different classes of aircraft like seaplanes and helicopters. Central Washington University operates a fleet of new Piper aircraft for flight training. Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot training utilizes Piper Archers (PA-28-181). Commercial pilot training also uses a Piper Arrow (PA-28R-201) or Piper Archers (PA-28-181) with two-axis auto pilot (Technically Advanced Aircraft) for their complex aircraft training. Commercial Multiengine training is conducted with Piper Seminoles (PA-44-180). Additionally, a Cessna 172R is utilized for spin training.
