The Office of Health Promotion works with Student Rights and Responsibilities to provide education surrounding alcohol and cannabis use to students who receive a university sanction. The Alcohol and/ or Cannabis Skills Program is an online interactive course that promotes discussion around substance use in a non-judgemental and research based fashion. If you need to be enrolled in ASTP or CSTP, contact the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities.

• Alcohol Skills Training Program (ASTP)

  ASTP is recognized by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism as a higher effectiveness individual level strategy to address alcohol use by college students. In order to use theory based and evidence informed initiatives, the CWU Office of Health Promotion will now be conducting 60 minute sessions for students self-selecting to attend or as a means for students to meet sanctions through student rights and responsibilities.

  IMPORTANT: ASTP will not meet court sanctions for an 8 hour educational course. Alcohol and Drug Information School (ADIS) is provided in the community at Merit Resource Services to meet that need (509-925-9821).
  
  All participants will receive information of strategies for assessing their personal health and genetic risks as well as for reducing of their alcohol consumption to lower risk, if indicated by the research.

  E-Checkup for Alcohol: The E-checkup for Alcohol Survey is confidential and anonymous for anyone to take that provides personalized feedback regarding your alcohol consumption.
