Learning the Performing Arts
Room to Perform
We support our students through multiple performance venues and practice spaces. Studio 119 serves as a classroom and rehearsal space, fully equipped with light and sound. McConnell Auditorium and the Milo Smith Tower Theatre provide a space for the culmination of your hard work, with the former seating 750 and the latter 200+!
Drama Teachers Unite
Our department hosts the Summer Institute for Theatre Arts every year—specifically designed for teachers. More than 500 teachers, representing more than 20 states and eight nations, have attended, learning new skills spread the theatre arts and networking with other theatre artists and educators from across the nation and the world.
