Asian Studies
Welcome to the Asian Studies Program
Explore the diverse histories, cultures, languages, and contemporary issues of Asia.
About the Asian Studies Program
The Asian Studies Program provides students with a grasp of the region’s diverse communities and their connections to the world. The curriculum has three components: a core introduction to Asian Studies, an Asian language (Chinese, Japanese, or Korean) sequence, and a choice of Asia-related courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Aesthetic Experiences. These components complement and reinforce one another to provide students with deep, multidimensional understanding of contemporary Asia.
